Other terms and conditions

These terms sit beside the main terms and conditions. If a line on a particular order or lot says something more specific, that line wins for that sale.
Buyers
You buy the work described on the listing, at the price or the winning bid shown, plus any shipping amount confirmed on the order. You give a delivery name and address where the work can be received.
Sellers
You confirm that you can sell the work. You accept the seller terms before the listing is submitted. The commission written onto the order is the commission for that sale. Changing the gallery’s rate later does not change an order that is already placed.
Auctions
Before a lot starts, the start, the end, the starting bid, the reserve, and the increment can be corrected. Once the lot is live and has bids, only the reserve, the increment, and the end time can change. A blank field on a save leaves the stored value as it is. A lot that ended unsold can be relisted. Voiding a lot cancels it, keeps the reason, and names no winner. Extending a live lot is done by hand, for 1 to 180 minutes, and only with a reason. It never happens on its own.
Offline sales
The gallery may mark a work sold offline. That record needs the buyer’s name, the price in INR, the date, and a note. The work leaves the public sale. The order is stored as completed in rupees, so it counts in the gallery’s overview. This is refused if the gallery has not set a marketplace commission rate.
Featured work
The house chooses which works lead the homepage, and in which order. Featuring a work is not a promise that it will sell.
Test records
A work marked as a test is hidden from the public site. It is not part of the public catalogue.
Who runs the house
Admins look after users, payouts, and settings, including maintenance. Managers can look after artworks, auctions, orders, and featured works. Managers cannot change payouts, users, or settings. The manager role is assigned by an admin. It is not offered on the join form.
Messages
Messages on the site are for the sale and for questions about a work. Do not send a password or a card number in a message.
Which law
The gallery is in Tamil Nadu, and these rules are written for people using ArtistValley from India. They are the gallery’s rules for the site. Where a sale needs a signed contract, that contract is separate from this page.
