An elderly woman in a white headscarf banded in blue bows her head in quiet prayer, her lined face built from flowing, flame-like strokes of orange and gold. A candle burns beside her, and above, small figures dance hand in hand. A moving meditation on compassion and service. Mixed media with vegetable colours on canvas, 30 x 40 in.
