A figure and his animal fill the canvas in bold black, outlined with dense white folk patterns, set against a lattice of geometric motifs with touches of orange and red. The painting draws on South Indian folk and temple traditions, turning a scene of village life into a striking graphic composition. Acrylic on canvas, 36 x 36 in.
